Estate 14k Gold Ceylon Sapphire and Seed Pearl Crescent Pin / Brooch
A classic crescent pin dating back to the early 1900’s. This style was very popular back in the day! Measuring 2 1/2″ long, it is set with alternating ceylon sapphires and seed pearls. Ceylon sapphire has been valued for its vivid color, that tends towards a lighter and brighter periwinkle blue rather than your deep dark blue sapphire. The pearls are lustrous and set in pairs at the ends near the points. The bar pin has a secure catch. Pictured as received from a local estate. Excellent estate condition with minimal wear indicative of age.
