Art Nouveau PANSY Pendant Brooch 14K Gold and Diamond .50 Carat Mine Cut

Incredible pendant / brooch dating to the Victorian, Art Nouveau era. Handcrafted in fine 14K yellow and rose gold depicting a pansy flower in a realistic three-dimensional design with exceptional detail. Pansy’s were very popular and I’ve seen many examples over the years but this is the first I’ve found using this intriguing metal technique! The satin finish nearly glows and the realistic veins are incredibly life-like. A 1/2 carat old mine cut Diamond accented the design. It features a straight pin with C clasp and folding bale for versatility in wearing. Pansy flowers are traditionally seen as symbols of love – both romantic and platonic. In Victorian floriography, pansies often represented forbidden love between secret lovers. Pansies also symbolize qualities like compassion, remembrance, and nostalgia. Pansies also embody thoughtfulness. Pictured as received. Polishing and cleaning are available by request at no additional cost. Please note in comments at checkout.
