COMMENTS: Alexa and Peter Smarsh use ribbons of gold wire and hundreds of French enamel colors to create their painterly cloisonné jewelry. The gold settings feature sleek, sculptural lines and strong textures. Their sun-drenched palette reflects the tropical seas and skies of their home in Key Largo, Florida. This item is a one of a kind very beautiful handmade piece. This piece can be worn as a pendant or a brooch. It is crafted mostly of 14k yellow gold with a sterling silver backing. Measuring 33mm x 23mm, the large enamel cloisonné depicts a woman in abstract detail. The piece also contains a high-quality deep color iolite and lustrous cultured pearl. Circa 1980’s. Pictured as received from a local estate. Excellent estate condition with minimal wear indicative of age.
