COMMENTS: Crafted of 14k white gold, this lovely vintage ring dates back to the 1930-40’s. It is set with a lovely rich purple, gem-quality amethyst, which measures just over 5 carats. The finest amethyst color is a strong purple with no visible color zoning. Most shoppers prefer dark purple color, like this gemstone, as long as the stone is not so dark that it reduces brightness, and this amethyst is lavish and bright! The stone is set in a simple 4 prong head with heavy prongs and accented by single cut diamonds. Surrounding the diamonds are delicate milgrain detail. Pictured as received from a local estate. Excellent estate condition with minimal wear indicative of age.
